    Belle Meade Plantation

This morning we’ll relive days gone by and learn the intimate stories of the people that created Belle Meade Plantation and its beautiful grounds. Tour the 1853 Greek-Revival Mansion and learn how it became a world-famous Thoroughbred horse farm. Afterward we’ll visit the former home of the Grand Ole Opry: Ryman Auditorium.  From 1943 to 1974 this grand hall hosted the biggest country stars of its day.  This afternoon we meet our local guide for a narrated city tour, exploring the history of Nashville and its role in the Civil Rights Movement.  Dinner tonight is at your leisure.

  • Day 3

    Country Music Hall of Fame

The star treatment is what Nashville does best.  First up this morning is a visit to Nashville’s famed Music Row, with a tour of the famous RCA Studio B. It was here that artists such as Dolly Parton, Elvis Presley, and more recently, Martina McBride recorded their timeless songs. Enjoy a tour of Nashville’s oldest remaining recording studio before we gather around the microphone to record our own hit song. Then it’s off to the Country Music Hall of Fame to marvel at their vast collections, hear rare recordings of country’s legendary performers, and see behind-the-scenes films by today’s stars. Make sure to bring your dancing shoes for today’s lunch where we’ll kick up our heels for a line dancing lesson and a chance to hear our “latest hit”. The afternoon is yours to explore the city on your own. Walk the Music City Walk of Fame, visit one of the many museums, or tap your toes to some famous tunes at a nearby restaurant.

We’ll be guided through the mansion as we learn the stories and history of the rooms and delve deeper into his personal and political life. After a stop for lunch, we’ll get an insider’s look at the Grand Ole Opry with a backstage tour. What began as a radio broadcast in 1925 has become a live-entertainment phenomenon. This evening take your seat at the Grand Ole Opry for an incredible performance that attracts music fans from around the world.
