  • Day 1

    Fly to Dublin

    Depart your hometown and take an overnight flight across the Atlantic. Enjoy in-flight entertainment and meal service as you travel to start your vacation.

  • Day 2

    Arrive in Dublin / City Tour

    After a morning arrival in Dublin, we will board a deluxe motorcoach and begin our journey. Join a local guide who will show us around town. Dublin is one of the liveliest capitals in Europe, but there are plenty of historical places also. Then check into our hotel where the afternoon is at your leisure to rest or enjoy Dublin. Use your two-day Hop On, Hop Off pass to explore the city. Join fellow travelers for a traditional Irish dinner.

  • Day 3

    Russborough House / Free Afternoon

    This morning we’ll take a guided tour around the stately Russborough House, a Palladian mansion filled with interesting treasures as well as noted works of art and early photographic collections. This afternoon, enjoy Dublin on your own. There are plenty of shops along Nassau Street and the pedestrianized Grafton Street or Henry Street. Perhaps you’ll want to explore Temple Bar or visit some of the traditional pubs. Tonight, enjoy a dinner of Irish specialties followed by a lively show of traditional Irish music, songs, and displays of step dancing.

  • Day 4

    Dualla House / Waterford Crystal

    We’ll visit Dualla House this morning. Watch a sheepdog demonstration and then enjoy tea and scones at the grand Georgian Farmhouse. Next we’ll visit Waterford, home of the famous hand-cut crystal. Upon arrival, tour the House of Waterford Crystal to learn about glass blowing and cutting, and see unique masterpieces. After our visit we’ll travel west to Cork, set on the River Lee, for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Day 5

    Cork City Tour / Blarney Castle

    Today we’ll embark on a panoramic tour to see the main areas of Cork. Cork is built on many hills with many steeply sloping streets. Visit the English Market where there is a wide variety of goods. Then drive a few miles outside of Cork to climb the battlements of Blarney Castle and kiss the famous “Stone of Eloquence” or take a walk through the stunning grounds for a look at the castle. We’ll also visit the Blarney Woollen Mills, which have a wide range of Irish products, before heading west into the mountainous country of County Kerry. Here we’ll explore the Ring of Kerry. See miles of marvelous scenery consisting of the highest peaks in Ireland and a coastline scattered with golden beaches and rocky headlands. We’ll enjoy plenty of stops to view the scenery and take photos. We’ll check into our hotel and freshen up before dinner tonight.

  • Day 6

    Jaunting Car Ride / Dingle Peninsula

    An old-fashioned horse drawn jaunting car will bring us through Killarney National Park, which is closed to motorized vehicles. Next, we’ll drive out along the Dingle Peninsula. This scenic road winds along portions of the shoreline and through hilly country. We’ll enjoy spectacular views of mountains and coast, with new vistas opening up at every turn in the road. We’ll return to Killarney for a free evening.

  • Day 7

    Cliffs of Moher / Galway Walking Tour

    We’ll depart Killarney and travel north to Tarbert. Take a 20-minute ferry ride across the River Shannon estuary and along the coastline to take in the beauty of the Cliffs of Moher. This iconic cliff rises to a height of almost 700 feet above the ocean and stretches five miles along the coast. We’ll pass through the Burren, an area of rocky limestone hills where many unique flowers thrive. This region also contains many dolmens, prehistoric monuments formed by large limestone slabs. We’ll continue north to Galway and embark on a walking tour of the city. See the medieval city walls, Lynch’s Castle, and the narrow streets. Then, we’ll check into our hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day 8

    Donegal Castle / Belleek Pottery

    This morning, depart Galway and travel north to Drumcliffe Churchyard so you can see the grave of one of Ireland’s most influential poets, W.B. Yeats. Follow the Atlantic shoreline of Donegal Bay to Belleek, where we’ll visit Belleek Pottery. See how skilled craftspeople form clay to produce delicate porcelain masterpieces. Next, we’ll stop at Donegal Castle, which incorporates the gabled tower of a 15th century house built by the O’Donnell family. Partially restored, the castle reflects a long and turbulent history. We’ll continue to Derry, check into our hotel, and enjoy dinner together.

  • Day 9

    Derry Tour / Giant's Causeway

    This morning enjoy a walking tour of central Derry. We’ll see the 17th century city walls, which are some of the best-preserved in Europe, and the main central square. Also pass St. Columb’s Cathedral, the Tower Museum and Guildhall. Next, we’ll stop just outside of Portrush to visit Dunluce Castle. This structure sits on basalt rock jutting out over the sea, reached by a wooden walkway. During the 16th century it was home to the MacQuillans, and later the MacDonnells. We’ll continue north to explore the Giant’s Causeway, huge hexagonal columns formed over 60 million years ago. The rocks have given rise to many legends, especially involving Finn McCool. After our visit, return to Derry for dinner at the hotel.

  • Day 10

    Belfast Sightseeing / Titanic Belfast

    After enjoying a traditional Irish breakfast, we’ll travel to Belfast and embark on a tour of the city. We’ll see the Albert Memorial and the ornate Victorian buildings of the Opera House and the Crown Liquor Saloon. In Donegall Square view the imposing City Hall, completed in 1906. The richly decorated interior contains stained glass portraying Belfast’s principal industries. In the Titanic Quarter, we’ll visit Titanic Belfast. Learn about the life of the Titanic, from her conception in Belfast to her tragic end. After our visit, we’ll drive to Kingscourt and check into our castle hotel.

  • Day 11

    Travel Home

    Sadly, our journey through Ireland must come to an end. We’ll travel to Dublin Airport where our flight home awaits. We head home today with the satisfaction of a memorable adventure to Ireland.
