  • Day 1

    Fly to London

    Climb aboard for an overnight flight across the Atlantic.  Enjoy in-flight entertainment and meal service as we start our vacation to Britain.

  • Day 2

    Arrive in London

    After landing at London Airport and clearing customs, we will board a deluxe motorcoach and start our journey with an orientation tour of the city center and see some of London’s famous landmarks. We’ll see the Houses of Parliament with Big Ben and nearby Westminster Abbey. Drive through Trafalgar Square where the National Gallery and St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church are located. Afterwards, we’ll check into our hotel. This evening, join your fellow travelers for an authentic English dinner.

  • Day 3


    After a wholesome English breakfast, we’ll enjoy a guided tour to see some of London’s best-known landmarks such as the West End and Piccadilly Circus. We’ll make a stop to visit the mighty Tower of London to see the many fortresses, Beefeaters, ravens, and the priceless Crown Jewels. After returning to the hotel, the remainder of the day is yours to relax or continue exploring.

  • Day 4

    Hampton Court Palace / Windsor Castle

    This morning we’ll drive to Hampton Court Palace, situated in handsome gardens and parkland close to the River Thames. We’ll tour the Palace to see the collections of pictures, furniture, and tapestries.  Attractions include the Tudor Kitchens, great gatehouse, and a maze that was laid out in the time of William III. Afterwards, we’ll visit Windsor Castle, residence of The Queen and the largest inhabited castle in the world. Enjoy a welcome drink with the group before dinner. This evening, we’ll take a brief evening walk around this compact and historic town with a local guide.

  • Day 5

    Stonehenge / Salisbury

    Today we’ll marvel at the prehistoric circle of vast monoliths of Stonehenge and learn about the primitive builders who managed to create such an enduring monument. Afterwards, we’ll make a stop in Salisbury, a charming old city where the cathedral boasts the tallest spire in England. This evening, we’ll arrive in Plymouth, situated on the southern coast of England.

  • Day 6

    Bodmin Moor / Lanhydrock House

    We’ll continue our journey through Bodmin Moore, an area of unspoiled natural beauty. We’ll have the opportunity to stop for photos at Jamaica Inn, made famous by Daphne du Maurier’s tale of smugglers. Explore Lanhydrock House, a late-Victorian country house with grand rooms and servants’ quarters. In Plymouth, see the Mayflower Steps and enjoy a short cruise around the harbor. This evening is free to enjoy Royal William Yard, former Royal Navy buildings that now host a range of restaurants and bars.

  • Day 7

    Cornwall / St. Michael's Mount

    Today we’ll visit the coastal village of Marazion to see the majestic outline of St. Michael’s Mount, and important pilgrimage destination. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a walking tour of St. Ives and admire the array of beautiful sandy beaches surrounding the town. We’ll have some free time to browse around before returning to our hotel in Plymouth.

  • Day 8

    Roman Baths / Cardiff Castle

    Wonderfully preserved Roman Baths await us this morning in the town of Bath. This area is renowned for its mineral-rich hot springs, popular 2,000 years ago. Afterwards, we’ll travel to Cardiff for a sightseeing tour around the city center. We’ll explore Cardiff Castle before sitting down for a Welsh banquet dinner with lively entertainment.

  • Day 9

    Hay-on-Wye / Shrewsbury

    This morning we’ll travel through the Brecon Beacons National Park to Hay-on-Wye, a town famous for books. We’ll continue to Shrewsbury, a picturesque town near the English/Welsh border. Explore with the town crier to see black-and-white building that line the narrow streets. This evening, we’ll check into our hotel in Chester.

  • Day 10

    North Wales / Chester

    Wonderful views await us along Horseshoe Pass. We’ll visit a farm to see trained dogs herding sheep, then travel to Conwy, a medieval town dominated by a huge castle. We’ll tour the picturesque streets and see the smallest house in Britain. in Chester, another tour will reveal medieval buildings and Roman walls.

  • Day 11

    Lake District / Scottish Evening

    Today we’ll travel through the glorious Lake District, which inspired many of Beatrix Potter’s children’s books. Stop in the village of Grasmere and visit the Famous Blacksmith’s Shop in Gretna Green, a popular shopping venue for quality Scottish goods. At our hotel, we’ll enjoy a drink with our fellow travelers before a lively Scottish evening with dinner and entertainment.

  • Day 12

    Edinburgh Castle / City Tour

    This morning we’ll explore central Edinburgh in the 200-year old “New Town” with planned streets and elegant Georgian houses where many famous writers and inventors lived. We’ll see the Royal Mile with its narrow medieval houses, and tour Edinburgh Castle to see the Crown Jewels of Scotland and the Stone of Destiny. The remainder of the day can be spent at your leisure in the city.

  • Day 13

    Glamis Castle / St. Andrews

    Today we’ll tour Glamis Castle, the legendary setting of Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” and and childhood home of the Queen Mother. Cross the modern Tay Bridge to the medieval town of St. Andrews, “the home of golf.” We’ll enjoy a panoramic tour and spend some free time browsing on our own. Upon our return to Edinburgh, head to a nearby pub for a farewell dinner with the group.

  • Day 14

    Travel Home

    Sadly, our journey through Britain must come to an end. We’ll travel to Edinburgh Airport where our flight home awaits. We head home today with the satisfaction of a memorable adventure overseas.
